Warranty, Assembly & Shipping
Fern Kids furniture carries a limited lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship, and ships preassembled. Nothing arrives flat-packed for your staff to build. Production lead time is three to six weeks, and we deliver across the GTA and ship across North America.
The limited lifetime warranty
Every piece is covered for the life of the product against defects in materials and craftsmanship. We make the furniture ourselves at 76 McGivern Street in Moorefield, Ontario, on our own CNC and in our own finishing booth, so a warranty claim comes back to the same shop that built the piece — not to a distributor who has to contact an overseas factory.
That also means parts still exist years later. The shop that cut the original panel can cut a replacement for it. Full terms are on our Terms and Conditions page.
It arrives assembled
Fern Kids products ship preassembled. For a childcare centre or a school this is the difference between a room that is usable the day the truck arrives and a week of staff time spent with an Allen key. It matters most on a full-room order, where a flat-packed delivery can mean dozens of units to build before a single child uses the space.
Larger pieces that physically cannot ship assembled — some lofts and structures — are the exception, and we say so on the quote rather than at the loading dock.
Lead times
Standard production lead time is three to six weeks. We schedule against our own shop floor, so the date we give you is a date we control, not an estimate that depends on a container ship and a customs queue. If you have a licensing inspection, a renovation window or a September opening to hit, tell us the date when you ask for the quote and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
Delivery
We deliver across the Greater Toronto Area and ship across North America. For dealers, we can hold an order in storage and ship directly to the job site rather than to your warehouse — useful when a centre is not ready to receive furniture yet.
Fern Kids carries $5 million in liability insurance, which is usually what a school board, municipality or general contractor needs to see before a vendor is allowed on site.
